Prime Day Amazon

Prime Day on Amazon is not an event like any other: for him it is the biggest event of the entire year. The American platform organizes the latter to thank its customers for their loyalty. To benefit from the discounts on display on July 12 and 13, 2022, you will need to be a Prime member. If you aren’t, don’t panic – a free 30-day trial period is offered.

Once you are a Prime member, you can access the Prime Day discount catalog through Amazon. These are discounts on par with a Black Friday (or even better), except that they take place in mid-July. If you have some shopping to do, you won’t find a better time to do it. The dealer goes out of his way with discounts on all themes in the catalog.

True to form, Amazon also pushes their own brands on Prime Day. The good point is they’re great products too. We can mention, for example, the Ring and Blink brands, which are solutions to effectively protect your home. There are also the famous Echo Dot connected small speakers or the Echo Show tablet that allow you to use the Alexa voice assistance service.

All of these products are featured on Amazon’s Prime Day page and are the ones with the highest discount percentage. On a pack of two Echo Dot 4 speakers, you can get 70% off – they drop from € 118 to just € 37, which is the best price ever. Generally, Amazon will push during these 48 hours with some of the lowest prices on the market. Enthusiasm will be important, the supply will probably not be enough to satiate everyone.

Prime Day ahead of Black Friday

Prime Day was invented in 2015, long after Black Friday began. However, this Amazon-invented event took the place of number 1 in terms of sales. The turnover generated in this 48 hour period is absolutely gigantic. It even surpasses that of Black Friday which still has a strong Amazonian connotation in France. This shows the popularity of this operation, which takes place in mid-July, the merchant’s birthday. So it was imagined, on the same principle as Alibaba’s anniversary.

To achieve such a feat, Prime Day must have unbeatable prices. In fact, July is a far less prolific month than November and Black Friday. The discounts therefore have to be very strong for the general public to fall for it. This Monday evening from midnight the first big offers will fall. They will cover the biggest brands and the newest products, far from poor sales quality.

What can we expect? Amazon, as a premium merchant, is always betting on prestigious brands on its Prime Day. It is therefore obvious that this Monday night at midnight we will be able to enjoy big names from all sectors at prices never seen before. Although the operation officially begins at midnight, sales are expected to peak in the morning between 7am and 10am. Once this period has elapsed, stocks will be lower.

As for branding, Prime Day Amazon won’t leave any big brands aside. As you can read in our updated selection above, we have focused on the tech part. However, this is not the only feature highlighted by the e-commerce site, quite the contrary. You have references in beauty, DIY, appliances, health, fashion, or even culture that are featured. We invite you to take a look on Amazon to find out.

There is a notion of speed for Prime Day as it is for Black Friday: first come, first served. It is therefore necessary to be lively in the first hours of the operation. On Amazon products already available from Monday (Echo, Fire TV, Kindle, Ring etc), you shouldn’t have to wait. Delivery times often go up and can be up to several weeks, even if you are a Prime customer. That said, it is still explicitly displayed.

Prime customers have a big advantage

If you are not a Prime member, you simply will not be able to enjoy Prime Day on Amazon. The offers are valid only for customers who have signed up for this subscription. We remind you that this subscription costs 49 euros per year, otherwise 5.99 euros per month. It includes all the services of the group and in particular Prime Video, Prime Music or Amazon Gaming. But above all it allows you to have free delivery in a maximum of 24 hours.

In terms of value for money, the Prime membership is unbeatable. It is for this reason that Amazon has over 200 million Prime customers around the world. Benefit from a Netflix equivalent service, a light version of Spotify and a gaming interface for a ridiculous amount. Plus, you can largely fund the subscription amount thanks to the savings you can make on Prime Day.

This Monday, Prime Day is still light but we can expect a midnight festival. We will be there to show you the best offers in real time. Amazon will publish everything from the first minutes after which it will be a race against time: every minute that passes, stocks will drop. After the pandemic, online merchants have been struggling to get supplies, it is obvious that there will be many shortages.

After two years of complexity, Amazon wants to bring Prime Day back where it deserves with offers that are unbeatable from every point of view. We encourage you to create your Prime account now to be ready this Monday night at midnight. Then, from 12 to 13 July, 48 hours of furious madness will be online. Amazon will completely review its web and mobile interface to see the thousands of offers over this period.
